Sandwich Chamber of Commerce

There is a clear need for a wide-reaching, vibrant, and inclusive Chamber of Commerce. Over the last few years, we have brought back the Chamber from being a defunct organisation with barely three businesses attending to a hugely successful, inclusive, and supportive group with regular attendance of nearly 100 businesses coming together. A Chamber of Commerce is an important resource for businesses because it provides a range of services and support to help businesses grow and succeed. These services include networking opportunities, access to business education and training, advocacy on behalf of local businesses, and the promotion of the local business community to potential customers through Sandwich is Open.

The Chamber of Commerce also serves as a central hub for information and resources, providing a one-stop shop for businesses to access the support they need. Additionally, by attending and contributing to our chamber of commerce, your business can become part of a larger community of like-minded business owners who provide support, advice, and collaboration opportunities. All of these benefits help businesses to thrive and succeed in our local community.

Multiple organisations with the same goals can coexist and collaborate to achieve more together than we would be able to individually. By working together, we can pool our resources, knowledge, and expertise to better support our shared goals and objectives. This collaboration will lead to more effective and efficient outcomes, and will help to strengthen the broader community and promote greater success for all involved. By embracing this spirit of collaboration, we can achieve more and make a greater impact on our local communities and beyond.

It is great to see our organisation back in action after a year-long break! The Chamber of Commerce took a step back this year because some members believed that other groups could provide better support for all local businesses. Although we continued to support businesses behind the scenes, the gap left by our absence has not been filled, and the wider business community has requested that the previous members resume our roles in order to support ALL businesses in and around Sandwich. We are a passionate, driven group of individuals who are committed to making Sandwich the best it can be. We believe that there is no such thing as too much support or initiatives to improve our town and Commerce, and we are dedicated to providing the resources and support that local businesses need to succeed. We are committed to working together to create a thriving and vibrant business community.

Sandwich is an amazing place to live, work, eat, and visit so lets make sure everyone else knows that too!

The time off has allowed us to regroup, refresh, and come back stronger than ever. The break has also provided an opportunity to reassess our goals and priorities and to consider new strategies and initiatives to better serve our members and the community. This is a positive development, as the previous members have a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be invaluable in helping the Chamber of Commerce to succeed. It is evident that the local business community needs the support and resources provided by the Chamber of Commerce, and we are confident that with the previous members back at the helm, the organisation will be able to make a significant impact.

With a renewed sense of purpose and energy, the Chamber is well-positioned to make a positive impact in the coming months and years. The return is an exciting development for all those who have been a part of it in the past, and for those who will join in the future.
