The Arts Society Sandwich presents a lecture by Pauline Chakmakjan: 'The Delicate Townhouses of Makiya – Japanese Architecture'

Makiya is one of the examples of a traditional from Japanese architecture, Machiya were, and sometimes still are, a combination of residence and business spaces for merchants of Kyoto. These buildings have certain charming characteristics and features unique to them.
