Coronation Weekend

The deadline to apply for a street party road closure is Friday 3rd March 2023 from Kent County Council and Dover District Council.

If you are holding a street party or Coronation Weekend event please let us know so we can advertise it for free!

Coronation weekend is between Saturday 6th May – Monday 8th May 2023. The Coronation of His Majesty and Her Majesty The Queen Consort is on the morning of Saturday 6th May 2023, followed by several ceremonial events to be televised. The Coronation Big Lunch is the name being given to street parties organised by local communities, such as street closures, throughout the weekend. The Big Help Out is being held on Monday 8th May and will encourage people to volunteer their time.
