The aims of the Sandwich Society are to preserve our heritage and to endeavour to protect, maintain and enhance the environment of our historic town and the surrounding area.
The Society published its first newsletter in 1982 under the Chairmanship of the late Mrs Patricia Lavers. The new Society Journal, now in its 20th edition is eagerly anticipated by members and contains a fascinating selection of articles on local history and personal recollections.
The Patron of the Sandwich Society is no other than the 11th Earl of Sandwich, John Montagu.
To assist the Society please contact interim Chairman Mark Moorhouse.
