Swift Farm Camping

Swift Farm is a eco-friendly smallholding just outside Sandwich. We`re in a peaceful, rural location and welcome families, solo travellers and small groups. We are a small campsite with just 6 pitches (including our Bell Tent) and we live onsite, so you can always be assured of a personal and friendly service.

We are open throughout the summer months until the beginning of September.

Our site is surrounded by fields and footpaths, which means lots of possibilities for walking (maybe with your doggy friends) to the local pubs or exploring the beautiful countryside. There are also lots of cycle routes nearby including along the local East Kent coast line. We accept micro-camper vans and small-campervans - up to VW Camper/transit size, unfortunately we are unable to take large motorhomes or caravans due to restricted width access. We do not provide chemical waste disposal or electric hook-ups. Hire a firepit for a blazing campfire - kindling is provided for free, while logs are available to buy from us or you can bring your own. We also supply natural wood-wool firelighters. We do allow BBQs as long they are off the ground, however we do not permit disposable tray BBQs due to their harmful effect on the environment.

When available, homemade jams and marmalades are stocked too as are free-range eggs for your breakfast - freshly laid by the resident happy chickens and ducks. Tea, coffee and milk for hot drinks are provided for free and there is a hot water urn for making a cuppa and for washing up. On-site facilities include a composting toilet and a shower with hot-running water. There is also a cold-running water washing-up station and drinking water tap. We have a communal fridge where you can keep your food and drink cold and we are happy to freeze ice blocks for you. We also have a gazebo where you can seek shelter from the sun (or the rain!). Many of our animals have been rescued and have come to Swift Farm to live out their days in the countryside. If you want to come and help with feeding just let us know and you (and the kids!) can help to feed the sheep and horses and ducks. Our ethos is very much to care and preserve our land, the environment and nature.
