The Sandwich Medieval Trust

A living history visitors' centre, with regular demonstrations of medieval crafts and skills including Blacksmithing, Baking, Boat building, Calligraphy, Wheat Weaving, Egg Tempera Painting with an onsite education area.  Within the building is a forge and wood fired oven. Other events during the year showcase more crafts, re-enactments and entertainments. The focus on education and Sandwich's rich medieval history including and building a life-size warship (cog). Bookable craft workshops as well as schools and group visits. Free entry. The Centre is run by the Sandwich Medieval Trust, a charitable trust which relies on volunteers and funding.  Paid membership is available whilst donations are welcome.
