Facilities

Facilities include cycling and mountain-bike tracks, walking trails, outdoor activities, play areas, changing rooms, showers, the Lamp Room Café, visitor centre and event spaces.

Access

The reception building and Lamp Room have wide doors and generous access areas. Blue Badge holders can park free after registering at reception. Contact 01304 619227 for assistance or accessible parking information.

Prices

Opening Times

The park is currently open daily 8am–5pm. Cycle hire and tracks run Wednesday–Sunday 9am–3.30pm, daily in school holidays; the café has separate hours. Check closures before travelling.

History

Betteshanger was developed from the former Betteshanger Colliery, preserving the site’s mining heritage while creating a large public park for outdoor recreation, events and ecological discovery.
